I am planning on taking the BMD exam, and I was wondering where I could find some practice exams? Can anyone tell me the difference between a BMD and a BMET is? Kim, A BMET (Biomedical Equipment Technician) can obtain certification from ETA by taking the BMD (Biomedical) and Associate CET (basic electronics) exams, which results in a Journeyman level certification. At present, our BMD program does not include a hands-on assessment, only a written exam. All of our practice exams are available to ETA members, however, we do not have one for the Biomedical. To view a listing of the Biomedical competencies on this website, go to "Journeyman Certifications", and click on "Biomedical Electronics Technician". If you have questions or need additional information, please contact us at 800-288-3824 or email eta@eta-i.org. Thank you! |

Hi,
I am planning to take the Associate Electronics Technician (CETa) Examination. I just wanted to know how the exam pattern will be, like how many questions they ask and whether they are multiple choice questions or we had work out for the solutions. I am taking the test for the first time and is it worth taking it in terms of jobs perspective, I am a masters graduate in electrical engineering. Your suggestions are valuable. Thanks in advance, have a blessed day. |

Thanks in advance, have a blessed day. When I took the CETa exam, it was 100 questions, all multiple choice. It isn't that hard, but it isn't that easy because ETA has one exam that covers the basics of most major electronics fields. Depending on your background, some of the questions will be difficult. The more wide-ranging experience you have, the easier it will be. None of the questions are that hard if taken in context and with the right background or study. Good Luck! |

Hi John, thanks of the reply.
I have one more question, do they give any reference material at the time of exam or we just have to remember every formula by ourselves. And do they provide pencils and erasers or we have to arrange them too. Thanks in advance, have a blessed day |
